WHAT IS NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS 

During a hospital stay, patients may contract an infection or sickness known as nosocomial infections. Nosocomial infections, also known as healthcare-associated infections (HCAI), occur among patients receiving medical treatment in a hospital or other health care institution who were not present at the time of admission.  It's possible that the infection was brought on by a bacterial, fungal, viral, or parasitic agents.
